1953 LG-1 parts

I posed this question in the Restoration thread but afterward thought maybe I should pose it here too.

I was recently given a 1953 LG-1 acoustic guitar that's in pretty good shape. However, the tuning keys were so brittle they all pretty much crumbled to the touch. It appears I need to replace the entire tuning key mechanisms. Trouble is, where do I find them? I also need strings and bridge pins. Strings are easy and the bridge pins should be too. It's the tuning key mechanisms that might be an issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

This should NOT be an issue, as most styles of tuning machines from the major mfg's are either still being made, or someone has licensed reproductions. Repro buttons are also available for many of the old style tuners in case yours are still mechanically sound.

Post a couple of photos of the tuners, and we'll be able to help you further.
