Where to buy Gibson P90's

Are these for your newly received Casino with Bigsby?

I'm debating. I love this Peerless Casino w/ Bigsby. But I don't think it sounds as good as my IBJL Revolution Casino or my Reissue 1961 50th Anniv. Casino w/ Tremotone which both have Gibson USA P90's.

I can't seem to find them in Chrome.

I do see Fralin makes them & I'm sure they're excellent but curious if Gibson has them.

Thanks,

Lucky

The pick ups are different pole spacings between bridge and neck and different outputs, so some makes may not be suitable, you could just get them rewound. fwiw I went for replacements from the creamery here in the UK, perhaps check the site out for choices, you can go for totally custom for a real decent price.

Also have a Peerless Songbird from about 2007 and the pick ups in that are too high output sounding pretty rough, they'll go when I can face the rewire fhole surgery again. :)

Thanks for the Feedback. Other than the Asian Pups & a couple minor things I really am liking this Peerless Casino. How do you like the Songbird?

I see Fralin has Chrome Dogear P90's that are supposed to be Gibson correct replacements. The Guitars i've played with Fralin Pups have all sounded great. They may be the way to go?

Thanks again,

Lucky

Your Casino with bigsby looks great, bet it plays well too, if it's anything like my Songbird, the neck profile suits and plays well. Actually intended fitting a bisby to it and new creamery pick ups, rewire, etc but weighing that up against a blak & blu Casino which comes higher spec.

I read a lot about getting a Korean Casino but went new with a Chinese 2014 and comparing it to the Songbird the Casino is near identical in hardware, electrics, playability but the Casino finish is more subtle and not so glossy poly finish and a very similar price from what I've seen between new MIC versus used MIK.

Don't know much about Fralin and not sure how conversant you are with swapping the pickups out but for me I gutted the MIC replaced wiring, added Area 57 vintage taper CTS pots, pio capacitors and Switch craft switch and jack, 50's wiring although the pick ups had the plastic plug and socket on them, I thought while I'm at it I'd do the whole lot. :)

If your pick ups don't have the plug and sockets its a job and a half changing them first time round, but you may be aware already of how to change them.

I'd have my Luthier do it. That's a bigger job than I'd want to try. If I do the mods I'm thinking of Switchcraft Switch & Jack Input too. Maybe the other stuff too?

I guess Gibson doesn't sell them? Strange?

Thanks,

Lucky

Looks that way, but as other posters have mentioned many places to get rewinds or custom built, choose output and alinco magnet strength, could just get custom to Gibson spec or tweak to suit you, Jaime at The Creamery, Manchester UK will happily discuss what you're looking for and build to order, your chosen spec, but no doubt there's plenty of USA based winders offering the same one to one service.

All the best.

From the bit of research I did before changing mine, wanting a brighter 60's sounding Casino than an earlier version I went for 7.5k neck and 8.3k at the bridge, all years are suggested between 7 & 9k. However authentically its said pre 70's Casino pick ups didn't do different outputs for neck or bridge.

I also went for Alinco 5 magnets for the chimey rather than fatter sound suggested from Alinco 2 or 3 magnets. Also had mine potted in beeswax mix.
