3woodengulls
Thoughts on a 1993 Gibson hummingbird. Don't know much about these. Worth, wood used, finish, are these good guitars or should I stay away from them

E-minor7
You shouldn't avoid a guitar like this. Go and check if you can. Montana had gone from fullerplast to nitrocellulose lacquer by this point and tho some have claimed '93 wasn't their grandest year, it's absolutely worth a zoom. The inside will be the lighter single-X braced version wanted by the most and the look is probably fine - tulip tuners, burst etc. Of course you have to be aware of the tag - It should not be an overwhelmingly expensive purchase. Well, that's relative - but as said, zoom in, , , and report.
Hogeye
I would be very interested in the scale length. The early Montana Hummingbirds were long scale and never had the vibe of the later short scales. It looks to be very close to the changeover. Could be fun to know maybe it could help nail down the changeover date.
