It has a white label on the back of the headstock that has the numbers 71011125 stamped on. Also on the front by the right side of the Gibson logo is a circle with the letter R inside would be interested to find out what this signifies. Thank you all. From the information gained it seems it was manufactured in Japan at the Matsumoku factory under license to Aria guitars, thanks anyway John. The "Epiphone by Gibson" logo was used on many Korean made Epiphones from the mid-late 80's. The serial number 71011125 would date to October of 1987.
