EPI67
Is bridge replacement a popular mod here at the forum? I'm curious about the quality of the stock Dot bridge and tailpiece. Is it a worthwhile change when it comes to resonance and ease of setup/playability?
Parabar
The stock hardware is perfectly functional. Replacing them is unnecessary and only desirable if you have a specific result in mind --- for example, some players like solid bar bridges (especially if they use a Bigsby-style tailpiece) better than the standard Tune-o-matic. I haven't felt the need --- or even a compelling reason --- to change the bridges on my Epiphones, except for my Korean Broadway, where I replaced the perfectly functional wooden bridge with a tune-o-matic to get a brighter tone.
