Finished coffee and a sandwich

Reading the gibson forum does not make me a guitarist.

It's practice, practice, practice.

I'm sure I'm one of the most lame guitarists here. Age 61 and only had lessons for 9 months.

But it's a way to spend my sunset years. Good thing I can bypass the amp with headphones. Otherwise I would be evicted.

By the way, the sandwich was good and the coffee got me ready to rock. Zow-eee.

I'm working my way through the Hal Leonard guitar books.

Learning to read music and play what is in the books. Exercises, scales, chords and flat picking.

I can feel progress from week to week which keeps me motivated, but progress is slow.

I bet a teenage mind would pick it up faster.

I've just started another module with my uni course; so with work during the day I've got to carefully allocate time to study and then everything else. So I've even got a reminder in my phone calendar to practice for at least a half hour a day, now. The alert snaps me out of whatever else I'm getting carried away with, and tells me to grab one by the neck and crank out some notes.
