Guys,

Can you tell me how the development of the VST plugin version is going?
specifically the single deck VST as when i use this, there seems to be no library of music and/or a way to designate the library. It doesnt read a library from the main library - is this a fault?
I have to physically browse my HD for tracks within it, which is no good. we need to use the library/collection.

Hi Steven,

I'm not sure what version of the single deck VST you are using but I guess that it's oldish, the official name for this special version of DD is called "DD Solo". I worked on it during the last year and I added a small library browser that was connected with the "automix" playlist of the standalone version, furthermore all the VST params of DD are visible from the host (...you can do automation from the host using these parameters, it's a very large list of params). The bad news is that I don't know if DD Solo will be included in future releases of DD. We didn't get too much feedback from our users, what probably means that they weren't interested on it.

Personally I think that DD Solo is really awesome, it's an excellent tool to use inside Ableton Live for example. I remember that people were very enthusiastic about Serato Bridge... and DD Solo from my point of view is many steps ahead than Serato solution, but like said nobody looks interested on it. In resume, the future of DD Solo is not very clear at this moment.

Luis, i will have to check again to see. I am currently building up a nice DAW related DJing project using Bitwig Studio actually (as i run www.bitwigbeats.com blog) and i couldnt work out why the plugin wasnt showing my library in the solo version compared to the main vst plugin. This NEEDS to keep going in my opinion. I think it would be just because it is Deckadance why it was never shown the interest (no disrespect), if it was Traktor as a VST it would take off like a rocket to Mars! - im excited about it (Deckadance) though and im a vast Traktor user.

One thing that would be cool is somehow the capability to modify or update/sync the current host tempo to the playing tempo track in Deckadance.

Awesome. I haven't used Bitwig yet, just a quick review when it was released. Your blog is really cool.

I agree, I will improve it. After all, library browsing is probably the most important feature that you need in such a plugin.

I will think about some workarounds to get this working... updating host tempo from the plugin should be doable... syncing the host to DD probably is a little bit more difficult.

Hello I was wondering if Deckadance will continue as a standalone and VST Plugin because I currently use the full Deckadance layout inside FL Studio

Luis,

I think its must of been the Deckadance 2 VSt 'mini' .dll that i had with 2.4 - im assuming DD Solo is the same thing with 2.5 onwards?

But i have 2.5 now and cant find DD Solo or the mini version? Also what is the changelog features for 2.5?

Yes, DD SOLO name replaces the old MINI one. DD SOLO is not included in version 2.50 because as I told you the plans for this special version aren't clear yet (...anyway I'm going to send it to you).
Changelog file is placed in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stanton\Deckadance2\changelog.txt

Luis ,

Sorry send you a PM and realised you answered most of my questions in here in the forum already.
Check the PM anyways as there is a main point about the collection window in DD Solo. Let me know your thoughts.
