Switching string gauges on my BluesHawk

Yes, it will.

The neck relief will have to be adjusted to keep up with circa 23% more string tension. It may take some days or weeks until it's solid.

Intonation adjustments can't be predicted. They have to be done as always, i. e. fretted notes at 12th fret should match the 2nd harmonics for each string. Certain refinements can be required after settling of the neck relief.

Hope this helps.

It depends...

Usually a change up one gauge will raise string action and increase neck bow

This can sometimes work well when the perceived tone improvement is appreciated

I have a couple of electrics which have cycled between 9's and 10's for years without IMO needing any adjustment/set-up

Thanks capmaster and Versatile, makes sense. I guess I will just take measurements before and after and see what happens.
