Les Paul Custom Identification

Greetings!

I own what was described at the time of acquisition as a 2012 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul. The instrument is finished in translucent purple with maple fretboard, block inlays and gold hardware. I'd like to know more about the instrument; however, I'm not certain how to go about doing so. The only information I have is the serial number, CS 201420. Is the serial number alone sufficient for determining the following: the actual year of manufacture, the style of pick-ups, solid-body or weight relieved, wood or artificial fretboard?

Any assistance provided will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello Alf, and welcome here.

The Gibson item abbreviation and hi-res pictures would be helpful. The number 2 in first position of the CS number would indeed say 2012. The Custom Shop made several figured Les Paul Standard models with various translucent finishes then. I own one in transparent orange also made in 2012.

Posting hi-res pics will call for uploading them to an account created at a cloud provider like photobucket and linking them to your post.
