Mickthemiller
I have posted this same question on the Gibson acoustic message board - Has anyone seen or used one of these and do they work?

dhanners623
In my youth, my late father gave me one piece of advice: When buying a car, always buy a Chevy or a Ford because no matter where you break down, somebody will know how to fix it. Not knocking the BFTS -- I know some swear by it -- but it strikes me as a fancy foreign car just waiting to break down in the middle of nowhere. If you need to get it fixed, your average repair shop may have no clue how to deal with it. I also wonder if the problem it is meant to address is really that much of an issue. If you look at the history of guitar greats, from Segovia to Hendrix to Watson to Knopfler to Atkins to White to hundreds or thousands of others, they've managed to make some very good music with guitars burdened with normal nuts and saddles. I know others may disagree.
Jon S.
I had a parts Strat several years back with a compensated nut installed. I'm sure they could help with some guitars, but I didn't really notice a difference between it and a standard nut on that particular guitar. Mickthemiller
This is the SOS nut - maybe it could work - maybe I could send for one and give it a whirl
