unknown epiphone or gibson??

Recommended Posts

I saw this at a pawn shop .. no serial number or markers.. the number 3 is on the body and 4 on the neck where they meet at the bolt on . any idea .. someone suggested it could be a 50's epiphone.

I can absolutely say with all certainty, it is not a Gibson of any age. I am pretty sure it is not an epiphone either.. I believe it to be a Lyle Les Paul Copy

yes sir.. thank you!!! its a match for what it is .. thank you so much for your input!

no problem, the company that made the Lyle, made a a lot of different brands with that bird on the headstock. they were the the Matsumoku Company in Japan and made them (approximately) 1965 to 1972.

Just for reference..... my second electric guitar was a Lyle SG copy. It was an complete POS.

when I was a teenager I found a Lyle acoustic in the dump, and soon found out why. yeah, I agree with ya on the POS. I know mine was, there was just know way to tune the thing, it made a better drum than guitar.
