Case recommendations for '53 ES-175

Howdy. I just picked up a beautiful 1953 ES-175. It came with its original case, which however is not not so beautiful anymore. The guitar flops around inside quite a bit, and there is even some slight neck damage from where the padding has worn thin on the neck support. I'd like to find something that will protect the instrument better, so I'm hoping someone will have some recommendations for me.

I have found on Amazon a case from TKL...

And another on Archtop.com with no manufacturer listed...

Anyone have experience with these? Will a vintage instrument fit a modern case properly? Any other recommendations?

Thanks for your help!

Disclaimer: I am a TKL case dealer!

TKL is the OEM manufacturer of "Gibson" cases. The 7816 you link above is the TKL entry level case for a 175. You can pick your budget point and go up from there. Here's the TKL listing for 175 cases:

"16" is the case designation that fits the 175. The prefix (78, 88, 89. 91), designate the quality and style of the case. I would recommend at least moving up to the 88 level (Prestige) cases. The link posted above shows full retail prices, and whoever pays full retail? Consult your local, or favorite, TKL dealer for "street prices".

And yes, a "vintage" 175 will fit properly in these cases, as the 175 has not changed in body dimensions since it's inception (that's what makes it a 175).
