Les Paul Standard 2016 T Fire Burst or Fireball ?

Hi,

I am a bit confused by this maybe someone from Gibson can jump in? On the Gibson website, there is no Les Paul Standard with a Fireball finish. There is a Fire Burst, a very beautiful one. On each dealer's website we can't see any Les Paul Standard Fire Burst, the have Fireball. Fireball looks nice too, but not quite as nice as the Fire Burst on the Gibson website.

Is that the same finish? Is it Fire Burst or Fireball?

Thanks!

Hi,

I've not checked this out but if its not on the Gibson site it probably isnt correctly listed. Unless... they havn't gotten around to publicising it yet.

I would hazard a guess that the dealers mean 'Fire Burst'. Its only a guess though. Someone else here will know for sure.

PS

I have a fire burst LP. At the time I really wanted a Desert Burst, but the Fire Burst has grown on me massively. It is a gorgeous fine gradation of rich colours. Beautiful.

Very similar... But in looking it seems that maybe theres a subtle difference in that one has a thicker black part and one is a perimeter burst so a thinner black edge around it

But don't quote me on that :)
