This is one of those models tho that probably looks much better in person, you can tell the stock photo doesnt do it justice.

You can get a 2015 junior or DC for like half that price at the moment (as long as you don't mind the wide neck) Mind you Jr's always seem to be a popular model especially the two pup types... (love my DC Special)...
cody78
Don't recall ever seeing a Junior like that before. It looks cool, but reminds me of the Epiphone Les Paul Special II. My Gibson LP Junior is the 50's style version with one pickup & 1 vol/ 1 tone from 2011.
merciful-evans
I would rather see this in a translucent finish such as gold or ebony. To me mahogany grain always looks like my parents furniture (and yes I feel like that about the 2015 DCs too. even though I like 'em)
vangoghsear
For the $50 MSRP less you could get the Tribute LP with P90s, more control functions (4 as opposed to 2 pots), and with a carved maple top. 60's Tribute LP I have the 50's Tribute P90 version and it's a fine guitar. The Junior looks nice, but a bit overpriced compared to their own line.

The thing is, Melody Makers and LPJs have their own distinct sound. Granted, not everyone digs that sound, but I appreciate the utter funkiness of a Mm, or LPJ. Pesh
Binding on the neck would have been nice; killer look IMHO. Otherwise; quite a nice piece, if not a bit pricey.

Yeah.. they did a run of those a few years back... With P90 or Hummer options... AND with Gloss or Satin finish with four different colours.. Now that's how you do it.. Way cool http://www.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Junior-Special-P90.aspx http://www.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Junior-Special-Humbucker.aspx
