old mark
I normally buy used guitars...something about them appeals to me, and they usually are cheaper...but I found this online laSt week and it seemed like just what I wanted. I have 4 other Epiphone arch tops now, and all but this one are older Korean made, except for my Elitist Casino which seems to be made in several different places. They are ALL really good instruments, and all worth having, IMO. This is a Chinese made brand new Epiphone and it seems to be as good as or better than the old and famous Korean versions. I like the hot pickups, the coil splitter is very useful, hardware is great and the quality of work is beautiful. Epi seems to have made real efforts to upgrade everything in their line and the REALLY did a great job on this one!

Steve112
Congrats, that's a beautiful 335, old mark. One of Epiphone's best values in archtop guitars.

Clumsy fingers
Lovely. Big fan of the Epiphone ES-335 PRO. I wrote a detailed review on it here... http://hubpages.com/entertainment/Epiphone-ES-335-PRO-review Thanks Adam for the detailed review, very helpful! I've placed a back order on one of the Ice Tea colored ones that may or may not arrive in July. Time will tell, if not the next choice would be a Fret King Elise JE or Ibanez JSM100 both at least another $800 more. I just couldn't bond with all the inlays and gold on the Sheraton. Clumsy fingers
Thanks Adam for the detailed review, very helpful! Well, it came and now its going back. Good looking guitar, no flaws at first glance, nice tone. Fingerstyle played well but as soon as i used a pick, bad fret buzz on the 5th and 6 th strings. Action was set a little too low. As mentioned elsewhere it's pitch will change with the slightest pressure on the neck. Playing it back to back with my Casino Coupe made me appreciate the Coupe all the more. Much more intimate, and if i was a flat picker i would probably keep the 335, guess i like hollow bodies better. BUT, don't let my comments give anyone the wrong idea, it's a great value for the money and plenty of good tone, even my wife who doesn't show much interest commented on how nice it sounded.
