This looks like a conventional Martin from the period. Stupid, stupid people! First, to loan it out, and second, not to take care of it properly. Probably for less than $10,000, Martin could have build a near-duplicate of that guitar that would have been virtually impossible to distinguish from the original at a distance of five feet.
