JuanCarlosVejar
Folks, Jimi's old apartment is being restored and will display his record collection and his beloved Epiphone FT 79 Texan. Here's his former gf with a non original texan : http://www.thevinylfactory.com/vinyl-factory-news/jimi-hendrix-record-collection-london/ JC
Fullmental Alpinist
Is that guitar really that big or is there a Winchester Mystery House thing going on?

JC Yeah JC I get that, nobody's going to leave a guitar "worth" that much lying about. It's just that the guitar Ms Etchingham is holding bears no resemblance to the original, the shape and proportions are all wrong, whether that's due to a weird camera angle causing a foreshortening effect or something else, it just doesn't look right. zombywoof
I own a 1950s Epiphone FT-79 and can safely say the guitar in the pic is not even a close relation.
Fullmental Alpinist
If you take a piece of string and measure across the lower bout then hold the string vertically and measure from Ms Etchingham's lap it goes all the way up to her nose. I'm not saying but I'm saying:
62burst
Grab you a handful of that guitarrón, sister. From the Vinyl Factory's photos in the OP, looks like logic and proportion have long left that room. The proportion of the chair/bench thing seems to be a bit skewed, as well (guitar now shrunken): Go ask Alice.
Fullmental Alpinist
Winchester Mystery House. Or maybe it really is the acid....
bobouz
Except for the neck inlays, it looks a lot like a recent EL-00 on steroids!

slimt
as for Hendrix as a guitar player, I'm sure he was probably the best at his craft. like other entertainers out there that had a way with there followers . but who really cares about his life.. or his place of residence.. its almost like minding there business.. not for which I care about.. yesterday is Gone.. the future is in front of us.. the pictures shown are hokey at best.. but thanks for sharing..
