It's a ukulele.
Originally invented on Oahu at the turn of the century as a bass guitar for men with extremely small hands, the ukulele has since gone on to be a staple instrument at beach parties, dorm gatherings, and conventions where spider-monkeys ride on the backs of Shetland ponies.
I own one myself, though I must admit, I have normal sized hands.

From reference material I have
sn-28347 = 1915 (Spann's). This label would had not existed. Loar was not there.
Loar worked for Gibson from 1919 to 1924 (Wiki). I didn't know they had magic markers back then
Seller did not list FON. 1915 FON's 2950-3289 A couple of them are listed as U models (Spann's)
I could not find anything on a U5, but it could had been an answer to the Martin K5

I did a little more research and think it's a 1915-1921 Washburn but I'm no expert.
