jmendoza
Yes the 1954 L-50 is mine. It came with the original Monatone Gibson bronze flat wound strings on it, the alligator plush lined case and hang tags. I have a set of .012" Martin Marquis on it so it has enough volume to be heard when playing rhythm. Had to replace the tuning key knobs, but otherwise it's 100% original. The '67 German bass just got a new set of Thomastik Infeld Spirocores, expensive but worth every dime, especially when they bring out those growls, whines, and moans. It has an Underwood pick-up. Sleeko, nice Kay bass. Archtop guitars just seem to gravitate to hanging out with stand-ups, they just can't help it! Nice to see another archtop lover with a stand-up bass.
