Austin Waits
The guitar doesn't look like a 1964 model, can anyone identify the exact model and year from these pics he sent? Also he was selling it for $1,500. But he said he will trade it to me for my Mexican strat. Which isn't even a fair trade for him.
aliasphobias
'69 or '70 at the oldest looks like a j45 with replaced tuners and bridge. A shot of the back of the headstock would help. The orange label in the soundhole does not belong. Gibson went to the square shoulder design in 69-70 on the j45.

the other side
Hey, Post that question in the "Gibson acoustic" section along with your photos. It appears to me it is a Gibson. Looks like my buddies j-50 which has an orange label in the sound hole and two screws in the truss rod cover. Also go to " Gibson daters project" (Google it) then enter the serial number. The serserial number is on the back of the headstock.
