Hi Guys,

This is my new baby,

Gibson Les Paul VOS R8 - 2012 [biggrin]

And she sound awesome ! \:D/

Cool guitar! Have fun with your new acquisition.

One question: how is the neck? I would imagine quite "meaty." I have a ES-335 that is based on a '58, and that one has a great fat neck on it.

Same here! Which is why I was really excited about the '58 ES-335. I always hated how the 2015 regular 335 guitars had extremely skinny necks. There was nothing there, man. Just a big gap between the hand and the guitar neck. And I don't have big hands to begin with.

Your guitar has Custombuckers, right? Great sounding pick-ups. Nice growl when overdriven. What kind of music do you play?

Very pretty. My R8 neck is thinner than Pippy's R9 neck. They are rather changeable.

Do you know if your 2012 has the laminated fret board?

Just a curious question, but what kind of money would a real '58 Les Paul bring today?

100-200k depending on condition. You see them for more but they're not moving.

Nice LP.

Number built, how many total were built?

Nice necks on the R8. What are they BB 1+2 still?

1712 recorded from 58-60. Not sure what they're using now but mine has BBs.
