Dr. Jones
I'm thinking of buying a 2014 Les Paul Standard. I know the maple cap is a different grade in the standard, Plus, and Premuim Quilt, but are the other woods in these guitars a better grade? Does the Plus and Premium Quilt have better rosewood in the fingerboards etc.?
american cheez
nothing i saw on the pages for those indicates that could be the case. afaik the only difference wood-wise is the cap

Dr. Jones
Thanks for everyone's input! I think you are right, only the wood in the maple cap is different. I'm looking forward to owning one.

Hello and welcome to the Forums. The timber used for the top on these instruments are the same. The grain pattern might be different. It's not the question of species, or quality of the wood. Best wishes... Bence
