Cyberrock
Hi, I've got an Flying V Korina Heritage from 1983 with gold hardware, all original except for the pickups and I've been considering getting a set of original pickups to restore it. I've done some research and the V's during these years seems to have Gibson Tim Shaws with 153xx3/154xx3 stamped on them. Is this the only pickups to look for to restore my guitar to it's original? Are anyone able to tell me what the difference are on these stamps (I've seen 392/393 and 489/490 variants too)? I've seen some suggesting first numbers are for model and last for year...? Did the output vary between the Shaws? Thanks for any information!
