plutoplatypuss
I was recently given this vintage Gibson acoustic by my recently passed grandad. All anyone can tell me is that he bought it when he got back from fighting overseas in the mid 40's. I tried identifying it but its quite difficult to do so. Especially because there is no serial #. The inside is an X formation not a ladder formation. It is a 14 fret. The knobs on top are called "butter bean" I read online that the only series that was never given a serial number is the J-45 from 1945. Which fits the timeline from when my grandma told me he bought it. I am attaching photos. Can anyone tell me if they can identify it? Thanks all!!
