zaphod2012 Posted May 18, 2016 Share Posted May 18, 2016 Hello Gents, I have a 1996 J45 that I am looking for info on. After no reply from Gibson, i figured this would be a good place to ask. I am not so sure what to call it, it is before true vintage, but this is 'aged' at the factory and has the banner head stock. Seems to be the standard Sitka spruce top and the mahogany sides/back, Gibson Deluxe tuners, accu voice pre amp with XLR and 1/4" out. SO is this a deluxe, a custom job, or just normal guitar from the short run of these banner guitars from the mid 90s, a 90s model with different cosmetics?? Try emailing the pictures and serial number to us at service@gibson.com and we'll be happy to check it out.
