NGD: Midtown Standard

I'm in the same boat. My 2014 Limited run SG Standard-24 with the Firebird neck pickup is the best made of the 7 SG's I have owned in this life. It's a pleasure to play and has tone for miles. The unique pickup combo has a large amount of versatility. It was easily worth the 1.5K entry fee. It has a deeper than usual neck set due to the 24 fret design as a bonus IMO.

The 2015 Midtown is almost as heavy as a Les Paul and has outrageous clarity. It's kind of a hybrid of an ES335-S if it were chambered. Incredible value and it has a solid maple top where the first Midtown Customs were laminated.

Nice! I can't believe they dropped the price to $1k, it's really a great guitar. And I am bitter about having to pay $300 more then I could now but alas, I'll keep playing the blues.

Btw anyone try changing their pickups in their midtown? I'm thinking of swapping for something less bright
