merciful-evans
so after about 9 months, I take the LP for its first pro set up. I had already raised the action on receipt & replaced the brass nut shortly after. I have only gigged it once but it handled & sounded good. I can set up a guitar pretty good, but wanted Simon the luthier to check wiring over and check frets. He is not overly impressed with the plek m/c results in general but found mine pretty flat. He had to tap down the 21st fret & level & polish that + 22nd. He lowered the nut height also. He hates the G-Force and string change took him longer than with regular tuners. Set up: Its not vastly different but it is better. Well worth getting it checked over.
BobK
First time I did a string change it took me longer than with regular tuners. Done it a few times now and actually find it faster!

Simon checked out the restringing info on G-Force and said Gibson describe winding string the opposite way to the way he, I and the Gibson techs do. Maybe they make a mistake? BobK
Best to follow the manual!
merciful-evans
Best to follow the manual! Maybe, but it came fresh from the factory fitted the 'other way'. That's why it's confusing.
shupe13
My first string change was a little nerve racking and slow but I love the ease of it now.
