Gibson L-1 1905 Inlays

Have a recently purchased 1905 L-1 being shipped from US to Australia. Shipper (MyUS.com) claims they need to file a US Fish and Wildlife Services (USFWS) Form 3-177 at a cost of $195 because, in their opinion, the guitar contains Mother-of-Pearl (MOP).

I question their ability to detect MOP and I don't believe USFWS is interested either.

But most of all, I tend to doubt the guitar has any MOP on it anyway. Does anyone have an opinion on this latter point?

TIA

Ive never heard of the pearls except for maybe gold lip.... But I have heard of the abalone in certain colors.. I believe the guitar should be safe... nothing on it to warrant worrying about... No ivory, or turtle parts.
