escarroverbal
The saler said it's a 2011 Standard, but I never see this '61 Zebra Pickup without covers, anyone knows?
sparquelito
That's a lot of oxidation and corrosion on the metal bits for it being just 5 years old. Do you live near the coast, where there is a lot of salt spray?
escarroverbal
I didnt near the coast, but the guitarra owner does, he lives in Rio de Janeiro. I haven't see the oxidation on the pic before thanks for warning!

Do you live near the coast, where there is a lot of salt spray? Looks quite fine to me. There are guitars getting played during their first five years already. ;)

escarroverbal
*Normally* an SG Standard should have pickup covers. Either someone removed the covers or changed the pickups. Can the seller send you more photos of the guitar, including the back of the headstock / serial? Once you have the serial, you can ask Gibson directly about the guitar: http://www.gibson.com/Gibson/Talk-2-Us.aspx Cheers, H Thanks man, I never saw standard sg withouth pickup covers too, and ask to the seller about this, he said its original didnt remove, I will ask for the serial cause in others pics I can ser just the final numbers. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=5759D9717BE59E0C!273072&authkey=!AMv7GHUHH1Sjfeo&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg
SGgypsyboy
In 2011 there was a GC run called the Standard Limited that had zebra pu's. It was a GC exclusive and featured the baked maple fretboard and push pull coil taps. I've mostly seen them in honeyburst and vintage cherry but I think white and ebony were offered.
