SG player
I received an Epiphone Casino vintage sunburst, The finish is fine, this is a nice cheap guitar. This Spider case is fine with 5 latches. Not a Gibson/TKL case but it will do the job

Pete B
I'm surprised that such an elitist as yourself would even touch an Epi, as your disdain of all things Epiphone come over quite well in all your other posts. With your snide comments of "Cheap" in your posts, do you have to take a shower every time you post in the Epiphone forum?
stein
What do you think about this pickguard ? I like the idea, but that particular shade or color doesn't mach with any other color on the guitar, so it stands out rather than blend in. Might be hard to find the turtle in just the right shade, I used to always have trouble with that, but if you can't, black would OBVIOUSLY look great against the shading of the body. tweed2
I went thru several color combinations, when I got my Casino. First. I m not sure if this is true of all years, but my chrome covers were soldered on. Not a simple cover swap, but doable. This is one of the reasons guys like Lollar won't work on Epi dog ears, though, a little too much work. They charge a lot to, if you plead with them. It's almost cheaper to just buy another pickup that has black covers already. I started with Biltofts, then changed to Lollars, when I found a used set for $125. Finally went with black PUs, black guard, black knobs. I kinda like that combination. Owned several guitars with frequensators, they are OK, no real improvement. But I'd be careful mixing chrome and nickel, it just looks a little wrong. Can't tell from the pictures of yours what it's sporting.
Supersonic
I'm surprised that such an elitist as yourself would even touch an Epi, as your disdain of all things Epiphone come over quite well in all your other posts. With your snide comments of "Cheap" in your posts, do you have to take a shower every time you post in the Epiphone forum? I wish there was still a "Like" button. The Gibson SG Special he keeps going on about is $140 dollars more than the Casino. I guess it's "cheap" too?
Clumsy fingers
Yes, I order a set of black P90 covers here : My link Thanks but they look to be sold out and judging by the measurements the pickups on my Casino Coupe are a little wider. 48 mm neck and 51 bridge. I didn't take the pickguard off but the cover screws look to be slightly wider also.
Pesh
Very nice! Nothing quite like a Casino! Congratulations on the new guitar.
SG player
@ Tweed2 : Thank you for the pictures. In fact, I think that P90 pickups are soldered to covers
SG player
I received a Frequensator for my poor Epi Casino, the finish is nickel like the rest of hardware that should be fine with the tortoise pickguard. P90 pickups are soldered to metal covers, but it will be easy to upgrade with black ones
