2008 R7 - anybody recognize the signature or any non-original parts

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Bought a nice 2008 R7. Plays and sounds great. Some modification has been done to the controls cavity though (made a post in restoration about that), but wonder if any of the other parts has been replaced as well. I would appreciate it if anybody could speak to the authenticity of the pictured parts:

Nice guitar (:

Does anybody recognize the signature in the controls cavity?

Bridge looks legit, I do wonder though why 3 or the saddles are reversed. Usually I only see two?

Pickup covers don't look like a traditional aged on. Has it been replaced perhaps?

The aging - while nice - doesn't look like the regular aging of an R7. Anybody know if this is custom?

The headstock only has the Les Paul signature as a slightly raised black text (don't photograph very well). Almost looks like it's painted over but I refuse to see how somebody would do this.

I would appreciate any comments you might have regarding the pictures - at the end of the day it plays and sounds great though.

All the best,

Nikolaj

Hello!

Artifical aging process is done by hand, so each and every guitar is different.

Even, the examples of the same model are different. Collectors Choice #36 shown:
