Papawooly
Hello! I recently purchased a delicious 1934 reissue L-5. I just love this guitar. I was hoping it would sound OK, but bought it online, with the sellers word that it would sound fine. It sounds remarkable, each note has a unique personality. I couldn't be happier. My question for the board... Do you know the production quantity for this Historic Collection reissue? Plaese advise... Thanks!
Guest Farnsbarns
Gibson never divulge production numbers other than in advance of a limited run. If this was a limited run the info should be easily available on the sites selling them. If not you're not likely to find out.

GibsonFan77
I purchased one of these last year and I LOVE it! What a great guitar!!! Mine was actually made for a Gibson custom shop employee in 2002, and Master luthier Jim Hutchins was involved in its manufacture. Lots of labels inside with signatures of all who were involved in making it. The seller also gave me about 30 photos of each step of the making of the guitar. opening the case always brings a smile to my face and playing it makes the smile bigger...
