eli_progrm
Hi! I am building a guitar and I want to buy Classic 57 and Classic 57 Plus pickups for it. I am confused though as to which Gibson mounting rings I should buy to go along with them (I still haven't made any holes for the rings in the guitar body). They seem to have different thicknesses (for exampel 1/8 inch, 1/2 inch), but I find no information about their height/width and the position of the holes. How do I know which ones will fit the pickups (or do they fit every humbucker?). And do the Gibson rings all have their screw mounting holes in the same place? Thanks in advance. Jon S.
Most standard humbucker sized rings should work. Shorter rings for the neck pickup, and taller for the bridge. You can find neck and bridge humbucker mounting rings here, http://store.gibson.com/mounting/ . The holes would be in the same place for both.
