Yes. Tremendous talent, unique. One of America's greatest. Completely agree about the films.

In 1995 or '96 I was walking up Guildford High Street and passed him going the other way toward the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre where he was playing - I think it was Neil Simon's play "Laughter on the 23rd Floor", prior to its run in the West End.

I didn't interrupt him.

R.I.P.

I had CNN on in the background and just before 1pm Pacific time, the anchor paused during an interview, said she was getting breaking news in her ear, and then had a look of disbelief on her face as she announced the passing of Gene Wilder. What a loss. A comedic genius.

Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, the list goes on and on...

A true legend. RIP Gene, and say hello to Gilda.

What a great actor.

Next to Young Frankenstein, my favorites of his are The Producers and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

I saw Willy Wonka in a Movie theater when I was about 10 years old.

It was a magical movie for me.

And Gene was the reason. Nobody could have played that role better imo. [thumbup]
