Mickthemiller
Surfing the net idly I came across an article about how the Gibson Byrdland came to be. Got me wondering why Epiphone, who make a variety if archtops, have not produced a Byrdland. They look like very interesting guitars with the large thin-line body and short scale 23.5" and would surely sell as well as their other jazz guitars. kidblast
well actually they did, if you'll recall, it was part of Epiphone's Elitist product line. from 2002 - 2008 http://www.epiphonewiki.com/index.php/Byrdland They are no longer in production but you can find them used, they're not cheap. here's one on Reverb.. https://reverb.com/item/1801125-epiphone-elitist-byrdland-blonde I would like to see them reissue these myself. LPS1976
like most of their models; they'll probably bring it back into production eventually.

Yes, well they Surprised most people with the century archtops, so who knows - they could be reading this now for ideas!!

WLOQ
Epiphone's image is improving and that would make it easier for it to attract more buyers for a LE Byrdland today than just a few years ago. It would likely sell out.

Steve112
Here ya go. They're delicious! That is one beautiful Byrdland, Sleeko. I don't know how the ergonomics would work for me as I've pretty much stuck to thinlines over the years but I'd definitely give her a go, gorgeous axe. Thanks Steve, she'd probably work just fine for you as she's a thinline as well.
