bayoubengal1954
Cool! Joe Henry is playing an Ark New Era Senorita (12 fret model) built by Tony Klassen. These are his takes on the old Bacon and Day model played by John Fahey. The base price is $4875.

Both conversation starters! That would be one of my guitars to get if I had too much money. http://www.arkneweraguitars.com/46.html

capmaster
Since her times with 10,000 Maniacs I hadn't heard much from Natalie Merchant. Glad to have found her Tiny Desk performance here! Thank you for posting, BBG!

Mojorule
Cool, thanks for posting. Does anybody know what kind of mics they are using? No, but BB's J45 is plugged in, which would suggest that his instrumental sound is largely Baggs Element. Every video I've seen of him playing that guitar and plugged in sounds great, really acoustic and how I'd expect a Gibson slope to sound. Always restores my faith in the Element. Now we'll find out that he's replaced it with some really fancy system...
Willie King
Was his guitar plugged in or did he just have a foot pedal tuner? They harken back 50 years to the folk scare and it brings back sweet memories of coffeehouses a long time ago.

It has a remarkably "old-timey" sound and feel when played with nickel silver fingerpicks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klTsPePoTQo
