Steinberger's dead

chronic

Recommended Posts

Just spoke to someone at Sam Ash.

Here is the sales rep's response when I asked if ANY Steinbergers are available

"All discontinued.

No date for New ones are expected at the moment."

Dealers in Europe (Germany) confirm that, however, it looks like the Spirit models might still remain available. But backorders of ZT3 and Synapses have all been cancelled. As usual there is no official confirmation from Gibson/Epiphone. The "… at the moment" part of that statement above can most likely be ignored :(

terribly sad news if indeed so. They've disappeared even from Music Zoo too, and they sell used gear. This is such a shame really.

Ned Steinberger, the man, is still very much alive. I saw him about 3 weekends ago at a symposium for musical instrument craftsmanship in Concord, MA.

the tittle of this thread-topic is so [confused]

You talked about the company not the man himself !

what i regret is new projects like ZT3 +EMG's

or Synapse with a tremolo and EMG's which would have been perfect

better than those with the capo

cos playing with a capo in the 2d position is not my cup of tea
