Ok I know we've done this before but the standby switch thread reminded me that some of you guys are hiding some cool amps. Yeah I'm talkin to you jdgm! Surfpup too! Makes me wonder what we have lurking in the corners here. Vintage, new, tube, solid state, it's all good just don't post your Line 6 Spider [flapper]

You've probably already seen my Twin here. I'm away from home so I can't take pics of my other stuff but this is the best one anyways :)

I have a few different amps. Most are lower wattage because I just play at home.
This combo amp/cab is my favorite.
It's a Peavey ValveKing Micro Head (20 watts) with a Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister 110 cab (30 watts)

This is my one and only amp, except for a Line 6 toy: Mesa Lone Star Special 1 X 12. It does anything I need an amp to do. [thumbup]

My Amp history...

My first amp was a 1972 Peavey Pacer 100 solid state amp. Really learned on this amp & I still have it!
I played bass at the time & blew 2 speakers in this amp playing bass through it...

Posted Image

Then I found out about TUBE AMPS...Heaven!! Bought a Fender "The Twin" amp: A monster both in sound, output & WEIGHT!

Posted Image

Ended up selling it & bought a Fender Twin Reverb amp reissue. More usable as far as output but still a heavy tote!

Posted Image

That was a GREAT amp but too much to haul around. Sadly, sold it & bought a Fender Deluxe Reverb reissue.
I lost the 2 X 12 fullness (I really miss that) but the Deluxe Reverb has plenty of power for my needs, is tube heaven & easily carried!!

Here's my Roland Blues Cube that I've been forced to take to the last few gigs, 'cause my Carvin has been in the shop.

I really wanted to get a pic of this cool "The Trooper" beer bottle.

Directly behind me is the Champeen Hunnert, and to the right, out of the picture, is the Champeen Fawty for the bass player monitor and for the stereo goodness of the powerful Boss effects engine. Or something like that.

Well,, nothing really lurking or cool.

This is all I got.
My HT Club 40 sitting on my old TNT150 I bought in 90 when I picked up the bass for a couple years.
The thing is a tank. I hate carrying it.

Posted Image

Which is why I bought this SB115.
It's 200W and is 31 lbs.
I answered and ad for a guitar player a few weeks ago. They had filled the position but called me a couple
weeks later asking if I played bass. I auditioned and faked it well enough that they asked me to join. lol.
So I bought this light little combo to carry to rehearsal. It sounds great.

In the rehearsal place (a stripped out old caravan) I've got a couple of mid-90's Fender Princeton 112 Plus SS we use for guitars as well as the old 1981 Peavey Renown twin which the bass player uses to save bringing his main rig.
This one for home or playing out if needed.

Some lovely amps you all have and I'll get something good one day for my own satisfaction too, but frankly these things all do the job just fine for what we need right now.
we had longer ways to go, but no matter, the road is life.
