Hello Capmaster.

Are they any good? I was wondering about this brand as suspiciously huge amount of Behringer components are for sale second hand.

I use one in the studio, and the bass one as well. Every guitar and bass track has these mixed in. 12 years now? Something like that, never a problem with them.

I use the desktop version at home and the rack version with the band through a Behringer A 500 poweramp and two EVM12L-loaded Marshall 1912 cabinets. The V-Amps are not perfect - some of the FX and the master volume pedal generate the infamous "zipper noise" when leaping up or down the 127 MIDI values via the Behringer FCB1010's expression pedals. Wah and gain setting don't.

It costed me 119€ in 2011. They didn't make them several years, but now they are back. Obviously there is some demand! [biggrin]

I also have a Bass V-Amp PRO. Did you ever replace the RAM buffer battery? The desktop versions have a CR2032. I never opened up the 19" PRO version and don't have a clue where it is located.

My desktop V-Amps were made in 2001 and 2002, and I think I replaced the batteries circa 2009 to be safe. But whatever - at work the CR2032 in the IBM computer of a Fette tabletting machine lasted over 14 years despite of being rated only half of it. I'm not kidding.

I do! I run it into a 2x12 Vintage Modified Bandmaster cab they call it, mic the single up in the Prince Tone, one for the two on the bottom, and take the DI also. Can be made to sound Yuge.

My Silvertone 1484

I also have a 90s Fender DRRI (not worth showing since everyone knows what these look like) and a Silvertone 1448 amp in case.

I have never had them open, and I've never used them as clocks so I probably would not be aware of any battery issues would I?

I'd have to check since it is something I don't think about :(

I had the amp overhauled in 2000 or 2001 and some of the tubes were refreshed.
