Guest Guest Lucas
Hey guys, I already posted some questions here regarding my supposed 2012 Gibson Flying V 67 Reissue that I bought some time ago. Everything looked fine, it has Gibson hardware, everything that can be changed is authentic. What throws me off is colour differences and serial number. As you can see in the photo, in the neck joint there are some colour differences which seem unprofessional and I do not know if Gibson would make those. The serial number is hard to read, but should be "100920469" although as you can see in the photo, it seems like there is a sticker with numbers comming out of it that has been lacquered over. The numbers are not pressed into the guitar wood, it is the opposite, they come out of the guitar, from the laquer upwards, they rise from the body (I do not know how to explain it better) According the number it should have been made on 9th of january 2012 Gibson Nashville. link to images https://postimg.org/gallery/2tcn42izw/ Did Gibson use this method of serial numbering in 2012, or did I definetly get a fake flying V? Thank you. Lucas
