giulio.graldi
Hi everybody, this is my true hystric 1958 (2016). Is there anyone that have this shade on the binding??? The customer service told me that was recreated faithfully like the original models. Can anyone help me? Thank you so much! Giulio
CR9
The binding color and the red bleeding into the binding are normal. Some have more or less red bleeding. That is due to the analine dye used on the back and sides and the use of a lacquer finish. It probably would not bleed on a poly finished guitar but that would not be historically correct for a Les Paul. I have had many that look just like yours. Guest Farnsbarns
Yep. All normal and happened just the same in the 50s.
