capmaster
Well, I remember John said after retirement from space how upset he had been about his first space flight being automated and remote controlled then. Asked who the best pilot was, his reply has been: "Me!" This makes me sure he knows well how to arrive safely at his final destination. R.I.P., John
Dennis G
Not sure if it was John Glenn or not, but I believe that one of the original astronauts was asked about their feeling going into space. The response was along the lines of "how would you feel, knowing that every part of your spacecraft was supplied by the lowest bidder?" Truly, a life well lived with a lot of accomplishments. RIP John Glenn, you've certainly earned it.
