I'm trying to locate the correct truss rod cover for my guitar, it looks like this:

I've found one online store selling something similar, but the "E" was and half the size so it wasn't right. Thanks for any help.

I was in the same hunt a couple of months ago. impossible. You will only find TRC with the other "e".... and keep in mind that casino, casino coupe and ltd edition ej-160e (I am not pretty sure about others models) has a TRC a little small than the previous ones.

when you get your guitar? I sent an e-mail to epiphone ... they sent me the truss rod cover for free with he right size and the right "E".

kind regards

Just curious, why the need / want for THAT TRC?

Is the "other" "E" an abomination? :-)

I see some similar on Ebay but the outside of the letter is a bit wider and the center is thinner. The "E" is not half size though, it's very close.

I think it is because Lennon had that E shape on his epiphone... in the other hand, is hard to find the TRC -small version-

Thanks, but I think it's odd. From a distance of a few feet I couldn't tell them apart, cool you got one from Epiphone.

I guess the OP never got an answer and went away, not much traffic on this board.

yes, it true I think he just give up (or get the TRC and don't wanna tell us the secret). Well, yes it took 15 days aprox but finally I got my TRC, in my case was because it came broken from the store (I think some chinese did too much pressure with the screwdriver when the TRC was put in place...). Of course, the store wouldn't believe that it wasn't me!

Thanks for the replies - this is a reproduction guitar that Epiphone made to mimic John Lennon's Casino, but for some reason mine has the wrong TRC on it. I was able to get a part number and order it through a local shop (well, it's Guitar Center), fingers crossed when it eventually arrives it'll be correct!

It's funny, I bought a Sheraton that the PO put one of the "better" "E" TRC's on, I removed it and put the correct one on. I threw it in a junk box in case I ever needed it.

Lennon's casino being a 1960s model would have a 2 hole fixing Trc and not a 3 hole trc as photograph

That's correct. But my guitar is a modern Epiphone "inspired by" model they made, and they used a 3-hole TRC.

Yes I know I have the same guitar, I altered mine to a 2 hole trc to make it more realistic to the original.

OMG, all these people obsessing over a TRC ?

LF, I'll tell you what, PM me your address and I'll send you mine. If or when you get one, send mine back to me, if not it's yours. Sound good? Now go get some sleep :-)

My browser security settings were preventing me from opening the PM windows, finally got that sorted today and sent you a message. Thank you so much for your offer!
