Buc McMaster
Nice looking piece. Long scale spruce/mahogany.........cool.........a Hummingbird with long scale power! Translucent red guard with that old, solid paint that hangs in there. Like to hear that one...........
OldCowboy
It's a mate to my natural-top '65, except that you can tell that I haven't been playing it for the last 40+ years😋 My guess is it's a good'n!

BluesKing777
Getting the Bird flu, BK? It's highly contagious. Nope, no money, 62 Burst! But I frequent the dangerous pages of Carter Vintage Guitars for some insane reason and I thought it was my Gibson Forum duty to report a bird just landed. BluesKing777. EuroAussie
Boy, I really do love the Hummingbird pickguards from the 60's with that yellow, tainted tinge. Gorgeous.
OldCowboy
Seriously - someone on the forum should grab that one before it disappears. Even if you already own a short scale, this guitar will astound you!
JuanCarlosVejar
I wonder why the gibson logo on the vintage guitars does not "delaminate" as easily as the new ones do?? The gibson logo on this bird looks worn but still looks very strong not shattered JC

62burst
That all looks tempting. . . How did the pickguard come to be devoid of all of it's flora & fauna? Hopefully, you're accounting for that baseboard heat. Enjoy.
Trans
...I believe it's the simplest model Gibson made as it was a limited edition custom shop model. Yes I know about the base board heat = OFF...I have a humidifier as well in the room and one for each acoustic inside the case. Actually I kind of like it w/o the pattern on the pg, looks bang on besides I can always swap it for an OEM if I want to in the future in which will rub off with the playing I do. My numero uno alas! Peace!
Buc McMaster
Seriously - someone on the forum should grab that one before it disappears. T'were this a left handed guitar I would most certainly make a serious inquiry. In most excellent condition in the photos.........a classic from back in the day! Damn, this looks just like my 1964 Gibson Hummingbird (Serial # 180561) that was stolen by Steve Jackson of Jackson's Rare Guitars, asshole he is! OldCowboy
Friday afternoon guitar. Good possibility! Or early Monday morning.... Then, again, there was that one-eyed gentleman who worked on the line for a while😒
TM1
Too bad about the pickguard. Shame you can't really fix them unless they just fall off. don't know how correct this is, but I was told that back in the day Gibson use to use Nitro/lacquer to glue those pickguards on. they'd paint the backside with lacquer and put it on the top and use a clamp of some sort to hold it down.
