Epiphone inspired by 1955 neck radius

I am obsessive about guitars, so I researched extensively before grabbing up an "inspired by 1955" epi custom. It is amazing. I love it.

However, it does have a 14" radius fingerboard. All external web sites agree with the 14" (ads for the guitar proudly proclaim it) but epi's site says 12".

I like the 14" radius personally. I called Gibson/Epi to find out the story. The young man who answered for epi swore that it was 12" and that the ads were all wrong.

I measured the radius and its 14". I have seen others prove it as well.

Believe it or not, there was something cool about the 14" radius in the description, and it made me want this guitar even more. I imagine (in my head) that the 55 les paul custom DID have the 14" radius, as well as the low flat frets to give the guitar that "fretless" feel. I hope thats why they made it that way. I'm going to keep telling myself that anyways LOL.

The word is that many epi les pauls have a 14" radius and people dont realize. Sloppy manufacturing?

Has anyone else found this to be the case?

Thanks,
