It was a great show. Big spectacle, with video, lights, lasers, pyrotechnics and fireworks. Their sound was great. Kirk even played a LP without EMG's on "Fade To Black" and the beginning of "Nothing Else Matters". They were well worth the admission.

We tailgated and hung out at Pickle's Pub too long and missed Volbeat. #-o Avenged Sevenfold was OK, but their sound was kinda screwy. Apparently DJ Master somebody from Beastie Boys was doing his thing between sets, but I didn't pay him much attention.

Saturn: missing Volbeat sounds wonderful. Every single word the guy sings sounds like he's having an orgasm, and the guy from Creed is somehow involved

[biggrin]

That's pretty funny. I actually like them, though. Another friend of mine who was also at the show, told me that Volbeat sounded really good.

I thought it was an awesome show. Metallica were great as expected and A7X and Volbeat both rocked. I appreciate how Metallica interacted with the crowd.

Robert Trujillo is a friend of mine... I worked with him ages ago in LA, even bonfire Infecious Grooves... was a very nice guy back then but that was like 35 years ago. If he comes to Spain I'd go see him even though I'm not a Matalica fan...

I don't want to be the fastest guitarist, I want to be a guitarist with lots feeling and able to express the music I hear in my head...

Dave: Robert played with Suicidal when they toured Europe with Metallica in '93, didn't he? I can take or leave ST - I think they're a little too all over the place for my taste - but I remember thinking, that bass player's pretty good.

Yeah Robert is an awesome player always was... even when he was a kid he played with the same intensity and he has always had that unique crouch walk stance he does when playing..,
