Satriani Fan 52
Hey Everybody, I have a ES-320 with nickel plated pickup covers, a switch cover and Yes a Bridge cover ! the guitar is from around 1972. I want to polish these parts. The bridge cover has a little rust on the face. I have seen Simichrome mentioned here but the website say's NOTHING about it being for use on nickel plated parts. Anyone used this or Flitz or Maas and what was the result. Thanks for any help.
OldCowboy
I know Flitz - most bikers do - but my advice is to procede slowly with guitar parts. I'd try a jeweler's polishing cloth first.
L5Larry
I use Mother's.
WadeR
I use my breath and a cotton cloth first. Then hand-rub in a small amount of liquid-ish metal polish from an old Meguiar's kit, only if needed to remove oxidation.

Twang Gang
I have used MAAS metal polish on nickel pick-up covers and stop tailpiece and it did a nice job with no ill effects.
