I have already chimed in, but i would like to add that if you are not in a hurry to sell that you should play both for an extended period. I'm still sticking to the one that is most comfortable to play.

Sal's Vintage Bird finally found a new home. Sold locally to someone who as of right now plans to make it a lifetime guitar.
The buyer had the choice of the Vintage or the TV, and instantly went with the Vintage.

I slightly preferred to keep the TV for reasons that had nothing to do with the quality of the Vintage, so it worked out great. I had some high e string ring finger and pinky slippage on the Vintage--it happens to me more than to other players due to bad habits. I would have wanted to replace the nut on a guitar that is perfectly set up for the other 99% of it is potential owners.

In the end, I'm glad I got the opportunity to check out the cooked top. It is a nice feature and at least on this bird, it definitely added an openness to a 2016 guitar that otherwise might still think it was a tree.

Congrats on moving the Bird along- ‘sounds like it’s found a good home. GAS levels can now return to normal; resuming Operation Maplebirdquest!

To me, both have that warm and deep "hog" tone. Tough to pick one over the other. It would be a "spur of the moment" choice if I had to make it.
