Revolution Six
I bought a 2017 Les Paul Tribute Gold Top, this guitar is great, a very good instrument and a cool price, I paid 800 €€ and I' m very happy. I want to know the best process to obtain glossy finish, thanks.
btoth76
Very nice instrument! Congratulations! Virtuoso Polish will make it shiny, but since the satin lacquer is different from the high gloss, You will not achieve the same result as seen on a Les Paul Standard. Also, keep in mind, if You polish up Your guitar with Virtuoso, the result will be irreversible. This is how my Studio 50s Tribute looks like now: Bence. Revolution Six
I used a Meguiar' s scratch remover, awesome result with a great gloss finish : Meguiar' s Scratch X works very well on the back of the guitar too. Upgrades to come : - Blank '59 repro truss rod cover - Black plastics and 5 ply pickguard - Historic switch tip and black poker chip - Nickel metal jack plate - Amber knobs - Gibson ABR-1 bridge
Twang Gang
Wow that is an amazing difference in appearance. I never had a satin finish, but am amazed it can change so much with some scratch remover or polish. Hope you are happy with the way it came out. Revolution Six
Yes, amazing difference. Now the Gold Top and the top of rhe headstock are gloss, this Les Paul is beautiful. The Scratch X works very well on wood but this operation needs more job.

btoth76
Very nice! Just be careful, that finish is very delicate. If You overdo it, You might get it off. Best wishes... Bence
GoldJim
A little time playing mine has really just started shining the matte without any waxes.

NePb
The black pickguard looks better than cream, imo. good choice.

Revolution Six
Amber knobs don' t match , Gold ones should be better (?)
Twang Gang
Since you switched the poker chip and pick guard to black I think you should go with black knobs as well. Personally I would have stayed with all cream plastics for that more "old school" look, but we each have our own tastes.
