Buc McMaster Posted April 14, 2017 Share Posted April 14, 2017 During my hiatus from guitar I joined a ukulele forum that had a weekly theme-based contest: the volunteer host chose a theme for participants to work up a tune to. This theme was to write a parody and perform it with puppets of some kind.......sheesh! I came up with this to the tune of The Way You Look Tonight. Damn kids! Evolution Changed Our Life Someday, swinging through the trees, happy chimpanzees we will cease to be just silly monkeys…… Evolution changed our life. Haircuts, in our future now, no more sloping brow some will disavow this ever happened….. Evolution changed our life Rocket ships and automobiles, Breaking Bad on HBO Surf the web, see Disneyland Brag about all we know…… Changing, with opposing thumbs, we’re no longer dumb happily we’re numb to all the madness Evolution changed our life Evolution changed our life ........oh and there is no compression on this recording! and this is a perfect thread for someone to bemoan the state of the forum! I know I used some kind of weird processing to alter the vocal to "monkey style", even added two more tracks for the other clowns in the video.........damned if I know how. Kinda funny, huh.
